Max dropped some of his small plastic toys into the couch between the cushions. When I went to dig them out, I found them and a long lost LED flashlight. Now I have a lot of them (6 or 7), but this one was a favorite. Its emerald green, and is brighter than the White LED lights, and more efficient. (There really isn't any such thing as White LED's, they're a Blue LED with some yellow phosphor which adds up to white, but does it really inefficiently.) I have a mini green one, but it uses a AAA battery instead of AA and I've already burned through all my half-used leftover AAA batteries while I still have probably 60-70 AA ones left (which is another story).
So finding the green one was a very happy occasion. Of course it had been left on, and the battery was totally dead, and had spilt acid all over the inside. But luckily, the case is machined aluminum, and thus corrosion proof, so it just needs a little cleaning. For the time being, I borrowed another body from a white LED light and am back in business (though I had to wrestle Zak for it).
